A new paddling club (Explore the Coast) (I am also on the Board of Directors) has just started (with my help) Now, however, they are offering classes and clinics, which is great) But they are paying their instructors Twice what I can pay them or myself! These are supposed to be volunteer, fun events to promote safety and stay on top of training, etc. Explore the North Coast has made it very clear that they Don't want to compete with local outfitters, (mainly me) yet they use a vast majority of my instructional programs/ideas. I rely on this for a living. Do you have any suggestions? How do you handle it? Shouldn’t they be volunteers, with a small stipend for expenses? They are supposed to be a volunteer club, non-profit, not a business. And they, as many other Clubs have many other means of income to keep the Club going (and volunteers) Thanks in Advance!
